3 Jahre in Eisen
3 Jahre in Blut
Der Wunsch des Entkommens
brennt wie die Glut

Gekettet durch Pein
An Felsen aus Schmerz
bricht mein Gebein
zerfetzt mir das Herz

Mein leben ohne jeden Sinn
Ich, der ich das Opfer bin
Bleibe hier in schwarzer Dunkelheit
und starre in die Ewigkeit

Bis Gott mir einen Engel sendet
An mein Dasein ihn verschwendet
Mit mir schwebt er aus dem Tod
Weit hinfort von Satans Sog

Gebete wurden nun erhört
Gerechtigkeit von Gott bestimmt
Friede wurde mir geschwört
Niemand mehr mir Freiheit nimmt

I had to made a poem for school with the theme rescue. It´s only on german. But i hope, there are some people able to read it.

Do you know it, if you are writing a poem and think: "man... This is really awesome" Then some days later you read it again and think: "man... this is really aweful" Most of the people, who heard it said, they like it. But now I wouldn´t say, its very good

Well, I like it - I had to reach deep into my schooldays German ( and look up some words, I admit). For some reason, the first two verses made me think of Loki's punishment for killing Baldur, where he was bound to rocks with poison dripping on his head.

Thank you for the fav.
Although i like the german mythology, i dont know, what happened to Loki, so I can´t say anything to this. I have to admit, that I always have to look up words, if i write comments or read english texts

Yeah...

Good for you - it's the only way to learn - and these days, it's so easy - there is no excuse for being ignorant with so much information at one's fingertips.

The english, i am now learning in school doesn´t really help me. The first years had to be.

Yeah...

I agree - I think the only way to really learn a language is to go to that country. The problem is not so much learning to speak the language, but learning to think it. That can really only be done if you have to speak it, and only it, every day.

I could go to america in student exchange. But i dont really want that. Until i really go to America(or britain, which would be more interesting for me, especially scotland) i will try to watch movies and series in english. That´s not ideal, but better than nothing.

Yeah...

I found that reading novels in German which I'd already read in English helped a lot. I used to read a lot of Agatha Christie in English, amd found a German one once - most interesting!

I try to watch series with easy language( e.g. friends, or sonic X, the only cartoons, i really like) in english. Because i have all episodes of friends I am able to watch it in German before. The english in Sonic X is really that easy, that I can nearly understand it without translation.

Yeah...

Ah yes - the International version! You're right though - a six-month stay in England would soon have you rattling away!
